Stewart, Jack Jack Stewart was a Musician, Scholar, Son, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin and a Friend to countless number of people. He was a quiet but strong young man who thought of others first. He touched hearts through his remarkable music and helped teach the gift of music to others. Although only 19 he had secured two years of college credit at Baylor University with a perfect 4.0. As salutatorian of the Lake Highlands Class of 2013, quiet Jack spoke to his classmates with wisdom seldom seen in young men. Among other things he said: "Some of us have always known what we wanted to do, or think that now, as teenagers, we know who we want to be. Maybe we're right, but I think it's likely that most of us will end up taking a different or unexpected path. And that's ok." Jack's path on this earth has come to an end, but the path he took to this point is a beacon trail -- let us hope that more young men and women follow Jack's beacon. He would want that. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved Grandfather, Wes Gatewood and is survived by his dear Parents, Ann and Pat Stewart, his Grandparents, Jean Gatewood and Mary and Dale Stewart, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins -- and all the friends he gathered throughout his lifetime. Jack's Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 pm Saturday August 2nd at St Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd, Dallas, Tx 75238. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
