Lamont, William Maximilian William Maximilian Lamont, born October, 5, 1916 in St. Augustine, Florida, died July 3, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of Clarence Arnold Lamont and Kathleen Chambers Lamont. He is an alumni of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Baker Hotel brought him to Dallas, Texas from Chicago where he had been employed by the Palmer House Hotel. In 1946 he started his own business, William M. Lamont, Top of the Tableware. The business thrived under his direction until he retired in 1997 at which time his wife, Jeanette assumed the operation of the business which continues today. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Bill Lamont, Jr. and his wife Mary Noel; daughter, Kathleen Lamont; grandsons Max Lamont and his wife Hallie; Miles Lamont; sister Betty Leaf. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rosa Reyes, his daily support, Barbara Neal, Patsy Johnson, Silvera Thompson and Jane Littlefield of September Services who provided loving care during his brief illness. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, July 9th at Evergreen Cemetary, 505 N. Rodriguez St., St. Augustine, Florida under the direction of Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Hwy., St. Augustine, Florida. Father David Weidner, Trinity Episcopal Parish will officiate.
