Beran, James Franklin James Franklin Beran passed away on March 18, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on June 20, 1927 in Caldwell, Texas to Emanuel William and Julia Beran. He graduated from Caldwell High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of World War II. After being honorably discharged he enrolled in the University of Texas, graduating from the School of Pharmacy. He then went to work at Baylor Hospital Pharmacy in Dallas where he worked for 43 years before retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edwin E. Beran. He is survived by his beloved sister, Dorothy Wilkinson and her husband, Joseph Wilkinson of Austin; his nephew and wife, Paul and Charlotte Beran of Dallas; his niece Julia Williams and husband, Marshal Kushniruk,; his great nephew and niece, Edwin Beran Williams and Whitney Williams all of Bainbridge Island, Washington. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Beth Beran Duke of Dallas. Jim was a proud member of The Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Dallas, where he also served as Eucharistic Minister and as an Acolyte when needed. He had a love for the outdoors, especially enjoying fishing. He loved his family and fellow man and had an extended family of relatives and friends who enjoyed his kindness and generosity as well as his great sense of humor.
