William J. "Bill" Lasater Obituary
Lasater, William J. "Bill" William J. "Bill" Lasater left this life on April 6, 2010, at the age of 90. Born in Greenville, Texas, January 11, 1920, Bill married his beautiful and loving wife, Dianne Mason, in 1938, who preceded him in death on August 23, 1999. They were the parents of Jan Lasater Pollard, a wonderful, loving and devoted daughter, who went to be with the Lord on February 5, 1998, at the age of 54. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Edna Nonus. He is survived by his sister Elnora Hubble and brother, Thomas J. Lasater, his wife Martha and numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Air Force during World War II, and was employed by Oilwell Division of U.S. Steel Corporation in 1948 where he worked until his retirement in 1981. Bill was a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church, Financial Executives Institute, Texas Society of CPA'S and the Roy Stanley Masonic Lodge, where he recently was honored with his 50 year Masonic pin. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Chapel East of Hillcrest Mausoleum, with Rev. Ron Williams, Assistant Pastor of Park Cities Presbyterian Church, officiating. Private entombment to follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, or to Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
