Bowers, Bill Born Dec. 18, 1932, in Dallas, Texas, Bill Bowers went home to be with the Lord this Tuesday, April 17. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Sue (Bardin) Bowers. Bill worked as an engineer at E Systems and a purchasing manager at Varo Semiconductors during his 40-year career. He also worked in CFBISD's transportation department. Bill served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His family was his pride and joy. In addition to his wife Sue, Bill is survived by son Mike Bowers, daughter Vicki Rogers and her husband Steve, his beloved grandchildren Tiffany Mendenhall and her husband David, Kristen Rogers and Taylor Rogers, brother Jerry Bowers and his wife Joyce. Bill's favorite pastime was baseball. He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball and watching ballgames at all levels, especially those pitched by his grandson Taylor, even until the very end. Bill will be missed dearly by his many friends and family. "Goodnight, John Boy." Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, also at Restland.
