Thomas George Cain Obituary
Cain, Thomas George Thomas George Cain, age 77, of Bedford, Texas passed away with his family at his bedside on May 5th, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 18, 1934 in Belvedere, Illinois. He married Patricia Jones of Moultrie, GA on August 4, 1956. They had four children. He attended Perdue University, and he served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. He served in Vietnam earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, The Purple Heart, and four Air Medals. Captain Cain retired from American Airlines after 29 years. Thomas was a member of Southmont Baptist Church in Denton, Texas, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and coaching football and baseball. He loved the outdoors and sharing his retirement with his family and friends at his summer home in Solon Springs, WI. Thomas will be remembered by his loving wife and their children, Michael, of Bedford, TX and Dillingham, Alaska, Suzanne of Irving, TX, Elizabeth Mitchell and husband James of Argyle, TX and Christopher and wife Janet with their sons Andrew and Bryce of Colleyville, TX, and foster son, Jeff Hudspeth and his wife Judy of Leona Valley, CA. Thomas is survived by his sister, Prudence Cain of Tucson, AZ and brother Edward and his wife Robin Cain of Scottsdale, AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Charlotte Cain. Services will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 11:30 Wednesday, May 9th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or Community Hospice of Texas www.chot.org . The family expresses special appreciation for Thomas' Hospice nurse, Shana Casey.
