My deepest and most heart-felt sympathy goes out to Marika, as well as the entire family. Robert was a genuinely cool guy and I will always picture him laughing. Although our HS years were short, they will always be cherished and never forgotten.

Life changing moments with Robert will never be forgotten. Fresh from High School and working for LaCerte was the beginning of a journey several of us took with wide eyes and dreams. Robert was always so thoughtful and a pleasure to be company with. Holidays, camping, soccer were always a joy and memories we (Scott, Amy and Kristina) will never forget. Break dancing boards, boom boxes in the back of his honda to having great family moments in our homes shared with friends, Robert was to the core a unique individual that will be missed by many. You will be loved and always in our hearts. Marica, our thoughts and prayers are with you and he Baca family.

Robert was a gift to the world and a genuine person. The short time I knew him left an indelible impression on me in the maturation of my life. Here was a man who committed to love and did so recklessly. He made a decision to marry at a young age because he knew it was the right thing to do. He made a commitment to life. There's sadness only in knowing that he leaves a void in the lives of many; but, then again, there's all the love he filled in the lives of others who were priviledged to know him.
Have strength, Marika. Be strong family. There's happiness in the memory of this great, young man who I am proud to call a friend....

We were deeply saddened when we heard of Robert's death.I still think of him as a little boy; he played with our three sons growing up. The neighborhood was like one big family, with lots of kids. We shared many wonderful memories and events, Robert will always live in our hearts. Our sincerest condolences to his families, our friends.

I'm really not sure what to say. It feels as though words alone aren't enough. Robert was a good friend, - we played soccer together, camped together, fished together, worked together, etc.... I already miss him! My deepest condolences go out to all of Robert's family members. I've always considered the Bacas and Lacertes as somewhat of an extended family since I moved from California to Texas in July, 1990. Robert was a student in my English class at Warren. He was one of those kids that brightened everyone's day just by being around. From the administration, to the teachers, to the students, everyone knew Robert and liked him! My condolences to his family.

I spent many years playing with Robert as a kid growing up, as his neighbor and think about him often. The clubhouses we made, trips to the beach courtesy of his brother Brian, and just being kids. It was a great time and he was a good friend. I was taken back by the news and wish the very best to his family.
