Elliott, Shirley Arlene Campbell Shirley Arlene Campbell Elliott, born in Amarillo on August 13, 1933, passed quietly away on October 30, 2012. Shirley is survived by her husband Ed whom she was married to for 55 years. She is survived by her three adoring grown children: Jenny Elliott Steeg and her husband Galen, Matt Elliott and his wife Jeanie, Holly Elliott and three grandchildren, Wesley, Carrington and Holly Marie. Shirley earned degrees from Amarillo College, the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas. Shirley's life was devoted to her family, her church where she worshipped over 40 years and to her jobs at Southern Methodist University. During Shirley's tenure at SMU she worked for the Management Center, the Executive MBA Program and the Business Leadership Center. Shirley's commit-ment to serving others at SMU and beyond will be sorely missed. Aside from her work at SMU, Shirley found considerable time to teach immigrants to speak flawless English. A memorial service honor-ing Shirley's life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Webb Chapel United Methodist Church at 2536 Valley View Lane in Farmer's Branch. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends a donation to The United Methodist Women's group at her church.
