Miller, Alma Bledsoe Alma was born Feb 1, 1924, the daughter of Addie and Floyd Bledsoe. She passed away on Nov. 4, 2012, at age 88. Alma was a 1941 graduate of Van Alstyne High School and then attended Draughon's Business College. While working at Southwest Cigar, she met Charles Miller and they were married six months later. They were blessed with two children, Doug & Carolyn, and made their home in Oak Cliff for 65 years. Alma and Charles were active members in Elmwood Baptist Church, Kiestwood Baptist, and currently in Cliff Temple Baptist. Alma was retired from Mobil Oil, where she had worked for 24 years. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles; son, Doug Miller & wife, Jan; daughter, Carolyn Kindel & husband, Joe; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services are 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2012, in Basset Chapel at Cliff Temple Baptist, 125 Sunset Avenue in Dallas. Visitation with the family begins at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Van Alstyne Cemetery at 3:30 pm. Donations may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital.
