Cramer, Sarah Sarah was born on January 31, 1918 in San Antonio, Texas to Rev. Thomas Finley Gallaher and Irma Burke Gallaher and left us to join her heavenly family on November 2, 2012. She moved to Dallas before the age of one when her father became minister of the Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church and remained a resident of Oak Cliff the rest of her life. After graduating from Oak Cliff High School, Hockaday Junior College, and SMU with a B.A. in English and B.S. in Education, Sarah became an elementary school teacher in DISD. At the same time, she began a long career as organist at the Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church. When World War II ended, she married George William Cramer and continued her teaching career until the birth of their first child. Sarah devoted her life to her family, her God and her church becoming one of the longest tenured members of the Oak Cliff Presbyterian Church. Predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brother, Thomas Burke Gallaher and grandchild, Kyle Henderson. Sarah is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Stuart and Susan Bundy Cramer, her daughter and son-in-law, Cathryn Burke Cramer and Arthur Henderson, her sister-in-law, Alma Loudermilk Gallaher, her niece, Sally Gallaher Tyler and family, and nephew, Thomas Burke Gallaher, Jr. Although Sarah will be missed by her family, her church family at OCPC and a myriad of friends, we celebrate her long and fruitful life.
