Hubert Hughett Jr. Obituary
Hughett Jr., Hubert Carl Hubert Carl Hughett, Jr, known by all of his many friends and family as Carl, passed away on November 14, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born October 13, 1933 in the rolling hills of Pulaski, VA, to the Hubert Carl Hughett, Sr. and Kathleen Surratt Hughett. He spent an extreme amount of his life enjoying all the outdoors and seemed happiest surrounded by nature, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was also an avid Novel writer, Humorist and lover of music. A major part of Carl's life involved Lake Highlands United Methodist Church where he served for many years on various Church councils, Usher programs, and most notably, as a renowned, league-winning Baseball Coach. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-two years, Elizabeth "Nell" Hughett, daughter, Carla Leslie and her much-adored children, Chad Leslie and Katie Leslie. He is also survived by his son, Kirk Hughett, his brother Jim Hughett his wife Karen and their family. He attended LeTourneua College and received his Master's Degree from Southern Methodist Univer-sity. He spent the main part of his business career as an Engineer with Rockwall International and The Desertron Super Conducting Super Collider. He was also a member of the Dallas Petroleum Club. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church in Dallas with Dr. John Thornton presiding. Reception to follow.
