King Sr., Attorney Hamah Randolph Born May 13, 1931, departed this life on December 1, 2012. Attorney King is remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, lawyer, arbitrator, fisherman, and friend. He graduated Phyllis Wheatley High School in Houston, Tx. Atty. King is a cum laude graduate of Texas Southern University and Texas Southern School of Law, who used his expertise in the fight for civil rights. Atty. King joined the War on Poverty becoming the Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity and retired from federal services as Director of a division within the Regional Office of Civil Rights, Department of Education. After retirement in1996, Atty. King was an arbitrator of labor disputes. He was an active member of the J. L. Turner Legal Society and New Hope Baptist Church. Preceding him in death are his parents, Eula Duncan King and Griffin R, King, Jr.; and, both brothers, Everett and Otis King. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria; sons Hamah, Jr. and David Wilson (Nicole); daughter Natalie Michelle and eleven grandchildren.
