Rike, Raymond Age 85, a long time resident of Dallas passed away on December 15, 2012. He was born June 10, 1927 in Ft. Worth, Texas. A veteran of World War ll, he served in the U.S. Navy as a signalman aboard an LST in the South Pacific. As a business owner, he operated a successful wholesale business for many years in the Dallas Market Center. He was a founding member of the White Rock Rotary Club in 1960. The club designated January 29, 2012 as Ray Rike Day to honor him on the club's 50th Anniversary. As a past President of the club, he helped to establish the E.M. Bruhns Foundation which has since contributed thousands of dollars annually to deserving charities in the Dallas area. An avid supporter of the YMCA, he also served on the Board of Directors for the White Rock YMCA. Boating and fishing with family and friends was one of his favorite activities. He is preceded in death by parents, James E. and Ollie Mae, siblings James and Evelyn, and a son Jerry. He is survived by his wife Hazel, a son Gary, granddaughters Krissie and Tiffany Rike, a great grandson Karson, sister Wilma Goff, and a daughter-in-law Rhonda Rike. Friends of Ray are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday the 18th between 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at the Restland Wildwood Chapel at 3:00 pm. on Wednesday the 19th with burial at Restland Memorial Park located at 13005 Greenville Ave..
