Dale Brooks Obituary
Dale Clark Brooks passed away peacefully on Thur., Dec. 20. He was born in Chickasha, OK on March 13, 1934 to Joseph Halbert and Viola Elizabeth Brooks. After serving in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958 he graduated from the University of Colorado as an electrical engineer. He was instrumental in setting up the communications system for the Apollo Space Program with Collins, and worked as a Design Engineer for MCI and other companies. He was active for many years at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Dale was an accomplished pilot, active in building and restoring airplanes, with a hangar at Addison Airport. He is survived by his partner of 13 years, Cheri Clark of Frisco; her daughters, Christin DeWitt, her husband Stu and their twins Remy and Cooper of Anna, TX; Carrie Gillen, her husband Ed and three children Parker, Taylor, and Cameron of Frisco, TX; his sons, Chell and wife Kerry of Frisco; Clay, wife Kay and daughters Victoria and Veronica of Springtown, TX; as well as nieces and nephews from 5 siblings. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Lover's Lane UMC on Sat. Jan. 5 at 2:00 PM.
