Wolfish, Marvin Marvin Wolfish, born April 7, 1918, in Buffalo, New York to Harry and Fanny Wolfish, died January 2, 2013. Marvin was a child of the Depression. Marvin's mother died when he was 13 and shortly thereafter Marvin began working to help support his family while he finished high school at night. Marvin served in the Finance Corps during World War II and married Belle in 1951. With Belle's help Marvin became a successful traveling men's wear salesman in New York State, ultimately becoming Vice President of NAMBAC. Marvin was committed to his faith and took pride in being a Mason and a longtime volunteer for SCORE. Marvin's ambition was to provide for his family and give his children the education he was denied. Marvin is survived by his wife Belle, his son, Larry (Sally), daughter, Ruth, and grandsons, Eric (Jessica) and David. A grave side service will be held in the Beit Olam section of Sparkman Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2013. Donations in Marvin's memory may be made to Congregation Shearith Israel.
