Harkenrider, Ralph L. Ralph L. Harkenrider, 88, of Duncanville, Texas left this earth peacefully on February 4th, 2013. Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 27, 1924 to John W. and Frances Boesen Harkenrider. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maxine Flick Harkenrider whom he knew since the first grade. He received a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during WWII and later served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was initially employed by ALPA (Air Line Pilots Association). In 1963, pilots at American Airlines formed APA (Allied Pilots Association) where he served as Executive Administrator until retirement. An attorney by profession and past member of the bar in Illinois and Texas, Ralph supported his children's' schools including St. Mary's in Katonah, NY, Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Dallas Frohsin Singing Society, German American Club, Mt Carmel High School in Chicago, Duncanville Senior Center and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville. Known for his love of his family, he had a great sense of humor and danced 'a mean polka'! He is survived by 6 daughters, Joan Harkenrider, Monica (Anthony) Radoszewski, Donna (Craig) Bullis, Laure (Robin) Jones, Lisa (David) Brochu, Amy (John) Manning, 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation is Saturday, Feb 9th from 4PM-7PM at Jeter and Son Funeral Home, Cedar Hill Chapel. Rosary is Sunday, Feb 10th at 7:30PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville. Funeral Mass is Monday, Feb 11th at 10:30AM at Holy Spirit with interment at D/FW National Cemetery at 1PM. http://www.jeterandson.com/
