Healy, Mark Mark Healy, age 60, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2013. A longtime and respected Dallas lighting designer, Mark was also actively involved in community service with Rotary International. His wife Jennie, sons and daughters-in-law James and Sara Healy and Clay and Chrissie Berry, son Reide Berry, mother, Mary Lou Healy, and grandchildren Roman, Boston Lance and Regan survive Mark. His father, John L. Healy and his son Lance Berry preceded him in death. He is also survived by his sister Monica Healy Miller and husband, Thaddeus; sister Carla Healy Bailey; nephews: Eddy Healy, John E. Healy, Frank L. Healy and wife Jeanne and their daughters Cassandra and Katherine; niece, Siobhan Grantham and husband Sam and great nephews Sean and Malcolm Grantham as well as Jennie's parents Ed and Virginia McCarty. One of his passions in Rotary was Camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) a weeklong leadership camp for high school juniors. He was involved in founding Camp RYLA in 1991 and served as Camp Director each year thereafter. Over the 22 years of Camp RYLA Mark was a positive influence in the lives of thousands of young people. Many continue to be involved in the camp as staff members and Rotarians. Mark was the recipient of the district's New Generations Award in 1999 and was district Rotarian of the Year in 2000. Each year Rotary International recognizes 150 out of 1.2 million Rotarians world wide for their outstanding service to humanity and in 2006 Rotary International honored Mark by awarding him the prestigious "Service Above Self" Award. Mark was a Paul Harris Fellow, a Paul Harris Society member, and a Major Donor to Rotary's Foundation. Visitation at Grove Hill Funeral Home at 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228 will be Wednesday, February 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 28 at 10 a.m. at the Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Rd., Dallas, TX 75214. Internment will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery. Those who would like to remember Mark with flowers or donations please do so.
