Harlan, Margaret Elaine Harlan, Margaret Elaine, 90 went to be with the Lord peacefully on 13 March 2013. Born in Los Angeles, CA on September 17, 1922, she has resided in Dallas since 1923. Margaret was employed by Magnolia Petroleum/Mobil Pipe Line Co. for 38 years and served as Administrative Assistant to four presidents. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, the Forest Ave High School Alumni Assn. and the Magnolia-Mobil "EX" Club. She also successfully worked to secure a Historic Landmark Designation for the HARLAN BUILDING built in the Farmer's Market section of Dallas by her father William Ellis Harlan, Sr. A published author of Christian poetry and a long-time volunteer in the Truett Memorial Library, Margaret was a loving and caring person, devoted to family and friends. She faithfully served as a caregiver to her mother for 7 years and later her niece for 10 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Ellis Harlan, Sr. and Mary Teresa McNamara Harlan, her sister, Leta Mae Harlan Gantt and her husband Holstun Gantt, and her brother, William Ellis Harlan and his wife Polly Adkerson Harlan. Margaret is survived by nieces F. Jean Harlan, Carol Gantt Koschak (Karl), Beverly Gantt Mazza (Stan), Mary Margaret Harlan, nephew Tommy Harlan (Cameron), 10 great nieces and nephews, and 8 great, great, nieces and nephews. Thanks to Courtney Koschak Johnson, Ramsey Koschak, and Mary Carol Mazza for their care of their great aunt. Services will be held at the Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home on Saturday, 16 March 2013 at 12pm with Dr. Lamar Cooper, Sr. officiating. Memorials may be made to the George W.
