Doris Jane Jones Foust Obituary
Doris Jane Jones Foust, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in Plano, TX. Jane was born in Lufkin, TX on August 13, 1927 to Melvin and Leah Jones. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Roscoe Thornton "Tony" Foust Jr. and her dear sister, Catherine Jones Mann of Austin. Jane and Tony's children and their spouses are Patricia "Patti" Jane Berry and husband Craig of Plano, Roscoe Thornton "Skip" Foust III and wife Beth of McKinney, Melvin "Mel" Jones Foust and wife Sondra of Plano, Leah Catherine Phillips and husband John of The Woodlands. Jane's family was her pride and joy. She especially loved and adored those that fondly call her "Memaw". her 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren! Granddaughters: Jennifer Foust Fry and Catherine Berry Underwood. Grandsons and pall bearers: Dr. Roscoe "Cade" T. Foust IV, Chad Foust, Brian Foust, Christopher Berry, Tyler Foust, Justin Foust, Cameron Berry, Kyle Foust, Alex Phillips and Blake Phillips. Great grandchildren: Lindsay, Landon and Lillian Underwood; Payson, Caydon and Brenden Fry; Carly and Taylor Foust; Addelyn, Layla and Josie Foust; Zachary, Connor and Gavin Foust. Jane has been a resident of Plano for the past 45 years. She is an original member of Holy Nativity Episcopal Church as well as a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She served as the President of Plano Republican Women's Club and President of the Wednesday Reviewers Book Club. Jane was quite proud of earning her PHT degree from Texas A&M (Pushing Hubby Through!). She loved to travel but without a doubt her favorite travel destination was their summer home on Pleasant Pond in Maine, where she and Tony spent many wonderful summers with family and friends. Jane will always be remembered for her warm smile, her gracious southern ways and her devotion to her husband and family. The grave site service will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 21st at Dallas-Ft.Worth National Cemetery. A procession will depart from Ted Dickey West Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. A memorial service will also be held on Thursday at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Plano at 1:00 p.m. with a reception following in the parish hall. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to The Spina Bifida Association of North Texas www.spinabifidant.org
