Donald Frank Garrett, age 79, of Dallas joined his Lord Jesus Christ, his mother, Ruby Emerson, and brother, Gene Garrett on March 22, 2013, following a battle with Luekemia. Don was born, February 9, 1934. He graduated from Forest Ave High School and served in the U.S. Navy, after which he began a career as a merchandizer and artist with Schepps, Shinley & Glazer's Liquor Companies. Don had a fun sense of humor and was "Mr. Dallas", as he knew everything about the history of Dallas over the last 75 years. He was a movie buff and could tell you the names of every actor in every movie. Don will be missed by his daughter, Terry Plager, son, Tony Garrett, grand-daughter, Amanda Plager, great granddaughter, Macie Danielle Davis, nieces, Michelle Chester and her husband Richard, Gina Whitten and her husband Clay, great nieces and nephews, Christi, Shelby, Kelsey, Taylor, Sabrina, Dusty, and Austin, Don's 1st love and mother of his children, Pat Roseman and "DonZ's" best friend "BonZ" Jackson, and many friends he loved. Don donated his body to S.W. Medical Center with hopes of finding a cure for Leukemia. Don will be missed by all.
