Wright, Katherine R. 82, passed away on April 3, 2013. Born in Clawson, MI on September 19, 1930, Katherine lived in many places, foreign and domestic, during her life. Her last home, Dallas, was also her first American home after marriage. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ed; daughter Katherine A. Evans; granddaughter Taylor N. Evans; son Dr. Stephen Wright and wife Liz; son Mark Wright; family friend Toby Ashabranner; sisters Mary Lou Morgan, Port Huron, MI; and Alice Miller, Toledo, OH. Kathy served horticultural interests through the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and the Southwest Regional Orchid Growers Association. She also had a continuing interest in the education of foreign-born students. This interest included participation in activities designed to promote such education. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 20, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at C.C. Young Memorial Home, 4847 W. Lawther Dr., Dallas, TX 75214.
