Winniford, Mary Ann Ann Winniford, was born May 1, 1949 and died April 5, 2013. She was a 5th generation Dallasite and valued her Dallas and Texas heritage. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Alice Winniford, Ann is survived by her sisters Kathy Jackson and Nancy Jane Ashby, her nephews Winn Jackson, Paul Jackson, Michael Clarke, and John Clarke, as well as her beloved cousins and great nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law Ronnie Ashby and John Jackson were very caring to Ann over the years. Ann graduated from Hillcrest High School and SMU. She joined Delta Gamma and enjoyed many happy friendships. Ann was on the staff of Senator John Tower and later worked for Equest and Crockett CPA Firm. Ann was devoted to Highland Park United Methodist Church serving as an usher. She was an advisor to the Delta Gamma Chapter at SMU and a fundraiser for Camp Grady Spruce. Ann had many happy summers at Hidden Hill Club and Wauhillau Outing Club. She enjoyed reading, Bible study, and attending every SMU home football game. We are grateful to Ann's Sunday school Discovery Class, friends, and neighbors who showed care and encouragement. A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. in Cox Chapel, Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane. A private burial will be held.
