Wright, Verda Kimball Verda Wright, 94, was born December 8, 1918, in Irving, TX, to her parents, Dora and Henry Kimball and passed away peacefully Thursday night, April 25, 2013. Verda was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Orval "Boots" Wright. She is survived by her son, Roland Orval Wright, Jr. and wife, Margie; two grandsons, Tony Wright of Dallas County and Terry Wright and wife, Renee of Ellis County; and a great granddaughter, Kymberlee Wright of Dallas. Verda, a graduate of Irving High School, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, in 1973. Verda became an art teacher who loved any and all forms of art work. She also taught art from the comfort of her home. Verda was treasurer and advisor for the Frank Reaugh Art Club for 20 years and an active member of the DeSoto Art League. She was also an active member of Wheatland United Methodist Church. Verda was loved and admired by her many friends and family. Please join Verda with her family and friends for a celebration of life. Funeral services are 12:00pm, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation with the family will be 6-8pm, Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Jaynes. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the loving care givers and wonderful hospice workers at Family First Hospice for making her as comfortable as possible.
