Darrell Wright Obituary

Wright, Darrell G. GARLAND- Darrell G. Wright, 54, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 from a 5 month battle with cancer. A memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May19, will be held at the First Baptist Church in Wylie with Allen Stroud officiating. Darrell was born Sept 21, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Huey and Sue Wright. He leaves behind his wife Annette Wright, daughter Stephanie and husband Kyle Clark, granddaughters Grayce and Kinley Clark, brothers Tim and wife Jeannie Wright, James and wife Mary Wright, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Brother Rex D. Wright Darrell and his family were active members of the First Baptist Church of Wylie. He was owner of Huey's Barber Stylist in Richardson, Texas where he worked there for over thirty years alongside his dad whom the shop was named after. Darrell will be remembered for being a loving and dedicated husband, Dad and PawPaw, a great and beloved friend, a diehard sport's fan, and involved in the Garland Girls fast pitch softball for several years. Darrell fought a courageous 5 month battle with cancer and decided that he would like to help others beat this tragic disease by giving his body to UT Southwestern Medical Center to help with finding a cure for cancer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and New Century Hospice.

Darrell was always a friendly and a good conversationalist each and Everytime I would go to the barber shop ,sometimes I would stop in just to say hi....he cut my son's hair and mine after Huey retired ,I had been going to Hueys for longer than I can remember ,he will be missed ,RIP

Darrell was a really fine person, always friendly. I have been having my hair cut at Huey's since 1966 and watched Darrell grow up. I will miss him greatly.
