Craddock, Jr., Dan Murchison Dan Craddock, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, departed this world for his Heavenly home on June 20, 2013. Born on January 17, 1918, he was the third child of Lila Tenison Craddock and Dan Murchison Craddock. He is predeceased by wife Arabella Wofford Craddock, son Dan III, and siblings Anne Schoellkopf and Dorothy Elliott. Dan is survived by daughter Arabella and husband Benton Bond, son Tom and wife Jill Craddock, daughter Lila and husband Schuyler Marshall, daughter Ellen and husband Marcello Guercini, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A native Dallasite with a true entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Craddock Lumber Company in 1947 and remained active in the business until a few weeks ago. Dan attended Highland Park High School, Phillips Exeter Academy and the University of Texas, where he was a member of SAE. He was a lifelong member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Little Sandy Hunting & Fishing Club, Idlewild Club, Terpsichorean Club and Brook Hollow Golf Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, duck hunting and bass fishing into his early nineties. Dan's life was characterized by faith, integrity, humility, friendships and family. A service celebrating Dan's life will be held on Monday, June 24 at 4:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8200 Devonshire, Dallas 75209.
