McClure, Robin Hood 1936 - 2013 Robin McClure, 77, passed away on Tuesday June 25th after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Memorial Service is @ 2:00 PM Monday, July 1st at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 727 Hill Street in Grand Prairie. Robin was born February 2, 1936 in Wichita Falls to William and Mary Hood. She attended Stephens College and Mid-Western University. She married JC Scotty Scott and had two children, Zach and Stacy. She later divorced and married the love of her life, Ken McClure, who passed away in 1986. Robin helped found the Republican Women's Club in Grand Prairie and acted as campaign chair for John Tower's successful Senate bid as well as campaigning for George Bush when he ran for Congress. In 1978 she and her mother took advantage of the tennis craze and started a women's tennis wear line named "Love 2". In 1983 she got into the market research business which lead to a partnership in a firm called Dallas Focus and later into a partnership with her daughter and son in law with a firm now called Dallas by Definition. Robin held the office of President of the SW Chapter of the Marketing Research Association in 1991 and positions as Director at large and Editor of their chapter's newsletter. Robin was also instrumental in the creation and operation of St. Charles Anglican Church in G.P. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, travel, reading and spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Robin is survived by: her son Zach Scott and his wife Michelle and their two daughters Madison and Caitlin; her daughter Stacy Scott and her husband Al and their two children Jessie and Dillon, her sister Jan Shans and her family and her brother Randy Hood and his family and several other nieces .
