To the family of Joseph Brantley Brown Jr.
You rightfully don't know me nor I you, but I did know Joe and was saddened to read the news of his passing. We were classmates at Sunset High School from 1945 thru 1947 and most likely classmates at W. E. Greiner Junior High in 1943/44.I still have my Sundial 1947 Year Book with his senior picture on page thirty-four, he signed his picture for me--I probably signed my picture in his book too as I am on the same page. It has been a long time since I last saw Joe but I still remember him and the sixty five plus years ago that we shared a time in life at the same places. Again I am saddened for your loss.

I remember the evening of October 27,1966 in your Living Room. It was in your Oak Cliff home and I was honored to get married there. Why didn't you tell me that was the wrong person I was suppose to marry?? I found the right one and I am sorry I didn't seek you out to marry us. May You Be With God and May God Wrap His Loving Arms Around Your Family and Friends. Thank you for the wonderful memory of you.

Rest in peace, Judge Brown.

Dear members of the family of beloved Judge Joe B. Brown, Jr. -- we always loved Judge Brown. He was unfailingly fair, courteous, humble and friendly at the courthouse. We appeared in front of him on all his benches -- from the Justice of the Peace Court through District Court. We remember visiting with him in chambers and reminiscing about the good old days, some of which included remembrances of his father, Judge Joe B. Brown, Sr. and the Jack Ruby trial. He loved to tell the stories and made everyone around him feel better. May our Heavenly Father ease your grief and leave only the cherished memories of his loving ways. And may the angels lead him into paradise. Larry and Mary Ackels and The Ackels Family.

The judge was a friend to our band from its earliest days, and I don't think he ever missed a Young Country reunion show. It won't seem the same without him in the audience. Love to the family.
