Gilmore Jr., William Curtis Master Sergeant William Curtis Gilmore, Jr. passed over on 9/1/13 to be with his God, his parents William Curtis & Sarah, his brothers, James Harold & Gene Ralph Gilmore. He was born July 24, 1936 in Mt. Joy, Delta County, Texas. He attended schools in Cooper & Lindale, Texas & received an associate degree in automotive repairs from Eastfield College. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps when he was 17 & served in the United States Air Force retiring after 28 years of military service. He served in Japan, Viet Nam, Korea, Italy, Phillipines and other places. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, his sister Margaret Ann & Steve Smith, sister in law Ann Gilmore and many nieces & nephews who loved and adored their Uncle Bill. He was an inspiration to all of them. He loved working on automobiles with many friends and had a shop in the Greenville area. He will be greatly missed by all of his relatives and many friends. Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Home Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. Services will be in Williams Funeral Chapel Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military service at 2:15 P.M.
