Boggs, John Oscar 1921 - 2013 John Oscar Boggs, born in Buford, Georgia in 1921 to Thomas A. Boggs and Clara Watkins Boggs (Gunter), passed away peacefully 10/01/2013. Retired manager of Liquid Carbonic Industrial Gas Plant in Dallas, John was a veteran of WWII and recipient of the World War II Cross of Military Service from the Daughters of the Confederacy. John was universally admired and respected by all who knew him. His outgoing personality, positive attitude and unquestioned integrity served him well his entire life. Preceded in death by his wife Lucy(Louise) Boggs and brothers Myron Boggs and Glenn Gunter. John is survived by his only son Wayne and daughter-in-law Wendy, and by cherished granddaughters, Lacy Boggs Renner and her husband Brandon Renner of Westminster, Colorado, and Emily Boggs Richardson and her husband Matt Richardson of Flowood, Mississippi. Some of his greatest joys were his three great-grandchildren, Grey Allen Richardson, Holden John Richardson and Devyn Fae Boggs-Renner. His light will be missed by so many but especially by his dear friend and companion, Emile Michel. Special thanks to Mickey and to his doctors personal caregivers.
