WILSON, ELENA ESTEVE Elena peacefully passed away October 28th, 2013 from ovarian cancer. She had a full and wonderful life. Her only regret not having more time to spend with her family and friends. She was born August 23rd, 1948 in Dallas and was adopted soon after by Rachel and Javier Esteve. In her youth, Elena traveled Europe and South America extensively developing a love of travel and language that continued throughout her life. Elena attended school at Brillantmont, Switzerland before graduating from Highland Park High School in 1966 and went on to graduate from The University of Texas at Austin in1970. Fluent in both French and Spanish, Elena taught languages at SMU, Ursuline and Richardson High School. Elena's love of travel sent her on to become a travel agent with American Express and All Aboard Travel. In 1980, she married Doug Wilson and devoted her time to taking care of her husband, daughter and her mother, Rachel. In 2006, Elena found her birth father, Warren Carlson, in Minne-sota, along with eight, fully related, brothers and sisters and was lovingly embraced by all the Carlson clan. Elena is survived by her husband and soul mate of 33 years, her loving daughter Laura, her brothers, Mark, Curt, Dan and Bob Carlson, her sisters Maria Carolina Rozas, Pilar Turner, Carmencita Esteve, Maria Teresa Poradek, Susan Leyendecker and Janice Carlson-Joshua. Elena was preceded in death by two siblings, Paul and Kay Carlson. A time and place for the celebration of Elena's life will be announced.
