Henry J. "Harry" Crowley Obituary
Crowley, Henry J. " Harry" 1921 - 2013 Born 10/5/1921, passed peacefully on 11/4. Harry was born in South Chicago, the youngest of 7 children. At 19, he joined the navy rising to Chief Boatswain Mate. On the Azores Islands, he met Maria de Lourdes Aguiar. Back stateside he proposed via telegram, and on the strength of a "maybe", purchased a one-way passage across the Atlantic. In the beginning, the couple did not even share a common language, but their marriage proved a fruitful one, lasting 57 years and producing 4 children. After stints in France, England, and Chicago, the family settled in Dallas in 1962. Harry acquired Eunice King's Kitchens, making it a success, now known as The Ya-Hoo! Baking Co. Harry will be missed by his family: son Geoff and his wife Barbara, daughter, Mannie Navarro, nephew Bill Crowley, and grandchildren, Evelyn, Jaime, Dashiell, Max, and Samantha. He is preceeded by his wife, Maria de Lourdes, son, James (Jimmy), and daughter, Evelyn. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the MS Society. Internment at DFW Nat'l Cemetery - date TBD.
