John Jansing Sr.

1924 - 2013

Jansing, Sr., John Marcum Passed away peacefully on November 24, 2013. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 14, 1924 to Jeanne and Lee Jansing. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Ann Wagner Jansing (Betty); dearest companion of 15 yrs. Beverly; parents, Jeanne and Lee; and sister, Janet Jansing Sheffer. He is survived by his three sons, Johnny (Karen), Danny (Dianne), and Billy; and four grandchildren, Juli (Nick), Marc (Morgan), Drew, and Scott. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, 14115 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, 75254. Reception and inurnment will follow at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, 75243. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Church of the Transfiguration Music Ministry.
