Janet Tuggey Obituary

Tuggey, Janet E. Trophy Club, Texas Janet E. Tuggey, a long-time resident of Dallas and Trophy Club, died Tuesday, January 14, at home. She was 84 years old. Born in 1929 in Dallas, Texas, Janet received a Bachelor of Education from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Janet, a talented soprano soloist at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in the 1950s, worked at various schools in the Dallas area. After a whirlwind romance, Janet married Howard J. "Jim" Tuggey, a U.S. Army officer who was stationed at Presidio, California. They were married for 59 years. While Janet and Jim travelled the world, visiting and working in France, Germany, China, Singapore, Iran, Indonesia, and many other countries, they always called the Dallas area their home. Janet is survived by her husband Jim, and their three sons, Tim, Matt, and Andy, and daughters-in-law, Jean and Amy; as well as nine grandchildrenChris, Lindsay, Cristina, Katherine, Kelly, Leslie, Grace, Nora and Liam. Janet loved all of her grandchildren very dearly. Janet is also survived by her sister, Gloria Rolls.
