White, William Dean Dean White of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away January 23, 2014 at the age of 87. Born February 25, 1926 in Ada, Oklahoma to Ross and Artie White, Dean graduated from Ada High School before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1944. Prior to attending East Central State University, he served his country in WWII and later returned to active duty during the Korean conflict. In 1954, Dean moved his family to Texas, where he eventually retired from the US Postal Service in Dallas. He is survived by his wife, Doris White, sons David and Jeff White, daughters Diane King and Mary Lynn Pierce, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 29th from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S Beltline Rd in Grand Prairie, followed by a 2:15 PM graveside service at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
