Mark Benigno Obituary

BENIGNO, Mark Edward Dallas, TX - Mark Edward Benigno, age 56, passed away Sunday September 25, 2016 due to a sudden heart attack. Survived by his beloved partner Sherry Kerstetter, mother Ann Benigno, brothers Chris, Steve and Richard, sisters Karen Greiner and Janine Galeazzi, and 10 nieces and nephews. Born in New Orleans, LA, the son of George and Ann Benigno, he attended St. Luke Catholic School, graduated from MacArthur High School of Irving in 1978, attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Business degree in 1983, where he was one of the founding members of the Aggie Cowboys fraternity. After graduating from Texas A&M, he moved to Houston where he spent 10 years in sales before moving to Dallas to start an Advertising & Marketing agency with Jeff Anderson, a lifelong friend. It was a true team, a friendship and bond that contributed to their success for many years, serving clients as diverse as restaurants, hotels and high-tech companies. In 2001, Mark's free spirit led him to Santa Fe New Mexico, to slow down and enjoy life. He headed west with his truck, his motorcycle and his antique Airstream! Little did he know this would lead him to Sherry Kerstetter, the love of his life. Mark and Sherry traveled the world together while living in Santa Fe and Philadelphia. Mark had a passion for photography, art, antiques, and travel. He loved people, and loved his family. He had a very generous heart, always willing to help and serve others with his time and his talents. We love you and we will miss you, you will always be in our hearts.. you left us too soon. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. A memorial Mass will be held October 8th, 11am at St Luke Catholic Church in Irving, TX.

Ann and children, Marks passing has knocked the wind out of us all here in the Yaeger family. Our memories,of course,go back to ST Luke School and the local YMCA and the baseball team, The Saints. So much fun. He was a great pitcher. Our family times together are just as memorable. Driving School, Thanksgiving at your home and 4th of July's at Las Colinas CC. He will be missed so very much. Our prayers are with all of you. Judy Yaeger
