Anthony Lawrence Rhodes

Mr. Anthony Lawrence Rhodes, 35, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009.Anthony was born Oct. 9, 1973, and spent his childhood in Dublin. He graduated from Dublin High School in 1992. After taking several classes at the Dublin Center Branch of Middle Georgia College, he moved to Athens and obtained a degree in marketing from the University of Georgia in 1997.After graduating from college he moved to Dalton and worked with the local newspaper, soon after that, he owned and operated a photography shop in Chattanooga. However, Anthony loved the newspaper industry and eventually returned to work at the The Daily Citizen in Dalton. He loved his job there and made many dear friends.In 2008, Anthony married the love of his life, Mary Teresa Sanner Rhodes who survives.In addition to his loving wife, Anthony is survived by his mother, Rose Weaver Rhodes of Dublin; his brother and sister-in-law, Geoffrey and Leah Rhodes of Ringgold; sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and J. Frank Reynolds of Columbus; nephews, Simon and Micah Rhodes of Ringgold.He was preceded in death by his father Dr. R. Allen Rhodes in 2006 and his grandparents, Harley and Alta Rhodes and Marion and Annie Weaver of Harrisonburg, Va.A memorial service will be at Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dublin on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
