Rich, Carolyn Jean.
Carolyn Jean Rich, "Carrie", 55, died on Oct. 17, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident 34 years ago. Carrie was a 1978 graduate of Darien High School and a student at the University of South Carolina. She was very active in Darien High's Theatre 308, band, chorus and Darien United Methodist Youth Group.
Carrie is survived by her mother and father, Carolyn and Donald Rich of Darien, CT; her sister, Pamela Rich Carroll(Thomas) of Southport, CT; her brother, Harry Rich(Lisa) of Stamford, CT; and her nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Wingate at Worcester in Worcester, MA for their many years of excellent care. A celebration of Carrie's life will be held at the Darien United Methodist Church on Nov. 21, 2015 at 12:00pm with a reception afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a scholarship being established in her name. Checks should be made payable and sent to Darien Community Association 274 Middlesex Rd., Darien, CT 06820. Carolyn Jean Rich Scholarship should be noted in the memo line of any checks. WILLIAM J.
