News Death Notice
ARNDTS, Kathleen Mary (Poeppelman) age 85 of Vandalia passed away peacefully after a long illness on July 20, 2013. She was born in Dayton to the late Hilda and Louis Poeppelman. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C Arndts; and brother Rev. Paul Poeppelman. Kathleen is survived by her children; Kathleen Arndts, Patricia Arndts, and Jerry and PJ Arndts; grandchildren, Kathy (Tony) Bell, Richard (Kelly) Arndts, Joseph (Angie) Arndts, Paul (Joy) Arndts; great-grandchildren, Claire, Ethan, James, Aiden, and Grant; siblings, Jeanette Morrissey, William (Carol) Poeppelman, Joanne (Tom) Keck, and Rita Vonderheide; and many other loving relatives and friends. Kathleen was a 1946 graduate of Julienne High School. She was a member of the Black Friars Drama Group. Kathleen was a long-time member of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church (4144 Cedar Ridge Road, Dayton 45414) on Friday, July 26 at 11:00am where the family will receive guests from 9:30-11:00am the same day. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathleen's name to Hospice of Dayton. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. To leave a message for the family, visit www.newcomerdayton.com
