News Death Notice
KING, Charles Edwin age 64, of Springfield, was brought home to be with The Lord on October 4, 2012. He was born on July 29, 1948. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Carl Johnson King, Sr.; mother, Etta Kate King; beloved wife, Belinda Ann King, son, Leasonn S. D. King; 4 siblings, Carl Johnson Jr., Robert Lee, Marybelle Taylor and Richard King. Charles is survived by his son, Nigel King; sisters, Beverly Walthers, and Kimberly Hankins; brother, Jimmy King; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and good friends. Charles was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Navy Submarine Service. He retired from Y.S.I. after 35 years of service. A visitation will be held on Sunday October 7, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A funeral service will take place on Monday October 8, 2012 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs, OH.
