John STEELE Obituary


News Death Notice

STEELE, John F. 90 of Butler Township, went home to be with the Lord November 30, 2013. John served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #24 for 60+ years. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Blanche Steele, sister Elizabeth Burley, and his wife of 67 years, Kathleen D. Steele. He is survived by their 3 children Cheryl Stavrides, Gary Steele, John Steele and wife Carolyn, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, nieces Karla Tomastik and Judy Thomas and nephew Robert Tomastik, all of Columbus, OH. Special thanks to Andrew Steele and Tyler Mitchell for their loving care and support. A visitation will be held Dec. 4, from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - 4104 Needmore Rd. Service will be held Dec. 5, 10:30am at Newcomer, with burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Vandalia -Benevolence.
