News Death Notice ALEXANDER, Virginia Ruth 87, loving wife of James G. Alexander of Yellow Springs, Ohio passed in peace at Friend's Care Community on June 30, 2015. Her mother, Milas Driver and stepfather Jim Willis, her father, Donald Blackburn and stepmother Jenny and her beloved son, James Vaughn Campbell and stepdaughter, Mary Ann Alexander preceded her in death. Virginia is survived by brother Donald (Annie) Blackburn, Jr of New Martinsville, W. VA, sisters Judy (Carroll) Barnette of Merryville, TN and Donna (Joe) Harrill of Morristown, TN, stepchildren David Alexander, Kathryn (John) Malone and Ruth (Eugene) Murphy of Yellow Springs, OH and Daniel (Denise) Alexander and John Alexander of Enon, OH, daughter-in-law, Pat Campbell of Punta Gorda, FL and former daughter-in-law Denise (Larry) Faircloth, of Greenback, TN, granddaughters Kristen Alexander, Amanda Hodge, Rebecca Pauley, Georgia Alexander, Chelsea Alexander, Rachel Neal, Shelley Murphy and Mollye Malone, grandsons Paul Campbell, Joseph Hodge, Chase Alexander, John Michael Malone and Philip Murphy, eight great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia enjoyed working 25 years at Rike's in Dayton retiring in 1983 as the manager of the switchboard operators. She then worked at Erbaugh & Johnson Drugs in Yellow Springs before leaving to devote her love, time and tremendous energy to her church and her family, especially in helping raise her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia and Jim especially loved travelling with the grand and great-grandchildren; we all have many loving memories of the places visited with Grandma and Grandpa. She will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts. In Yellow Springs, visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 5 at Jackson Lytle Lewis Funeral Home and services officiated by Rev. Charles Lang will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 6 at St. Paul Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church after the graveside service.

ALMY, Patricia (Culp)* - Dayton  
News Death Notice ALMY (Culp), Patricia Age 78. Pat Almy passed away on June 10th 2015 at her home in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Bells, Tennessee on November 24, 1936 to Ora Mae and James Culp. She was raised in Memphis, with two older sisters and a brother and graduated from Humes High School in 1955. She then worked for Light, Gas and Water, and the Memphis Police Department. She married David B. Almy in 1966, and together they raised two sons, Britton and Michael. She is survived by her husband David, her sons Britton and Michael, grandchildren Miranda, Sydni, Quinci, Colton, Zachary and Reilly. In lieu of flowers a donation in her name may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Private services were held at home on June 14.

News Death Notice ANDERSON (Ross), Carolyn Faye Of Riverside, OH. Carolyn went to be with our Lord on June 27, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her father, John P. Ross. She is survived by her mother, Vesta Bucher and her loving husband of 41 years, Douglas Anderson; son, Douglas & Danielle Anderson, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Douglas Anderson, III and Alexandra Anderson; brothers, John & Darlene Ross and Terry Ross & Sonya Crum; special nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and 2 special friends, Shirley and Barb. Carol was a longtime member of the Missionary Church and retired from Mad River Local Schools where she was a school bus driver and loved all her kids very much. Carol was a life member of the American Legion Post 746 from her dad being a POW in WWII. She is only gone for a little while because we will be together in Heaven again. Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, July 2 with Pastor Mark Masterson officiating. Interment will follow at Willowview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Charcot Foot Awareness @ any U.S. Bank location, in Carolyn's memory. ARMSTRONG, Michael E.* - Springboro  
News Death Notice ARMSTRONG, Michael E. Age 45 of Springboro, OH passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in his home. He was born August 4, 1969 in Jamestown, NY and is the son of Larry and Martha (Sherwin) Armstrong. Mike was employed as a Production Supervisor with NC WORKS in Franklin, Ohio. Mike and Melanie would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on September 1st. He is preceded in death by his; father-in-law, Don Fessenden and grandmother, Mary Armstrong. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Melanie; their two daughters, Kimberly Mikayla, and Karlie Morgan; his parents, a brother, Kelly (Tanettee) Armstrong; two sister's, Sue (Al) Cowen, Sally (John) Raymond, and his mother-in-law, Kaye Fessenden (Kaye Kaye). He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mike was a devoted and wonderful father, son, and husband. He spent many years as the coach of his daughter's soccer and softball teams. Mike also enjoyed playing golf, working on classic cars, and jamming to his favorite music in his garage. Most of all, Mike loved spending quality time with his family, and had a true love of sweets! A Memorial service will be held Tuesday 11:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home, 40 N. Main St. Springboro by Melanie's Uncle, Edward Pierce, who also officiated their wedding. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. News Death Notice ARNOLD, Marion M. (Miney) Age 71, of Dayton, departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 8, 1944 in Dayton, OH to the late Burl and Josephine Arnold. Marion attended Roosevelt High School and served in the U. S. Navy; serving 23 years during the Vietnam era. He achieved his master's degree in business administration and retired from DESC and San Francisco's Veterans Administration following many years of service. He was an active member of Azusa Apostolic Church. Marion was preceded in death by (4) brothers and (4) sisters. Survivors include his children: Kamala, Carmella, Rochell and Dareyall Arnold; (3) grandchildren, Geronnia Bogan, Trinity David and Tamaria Rugledg; sister, Ida Mae Blake, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., TUESDAY, July 5, 2015 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
