DAVIS, James L.* - Springfield  
News Death Notice DAVIS, James L. 53, of Enon, OH, formerly of Huber Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2016, at Heartland of Springfield Nursing Home. Jim was born and raised in Huber Heights and preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Avis Davis, and his brothers, Jeff & Pat Davis. He is survived by his loving and devoted son and daughter, Jimmy & Jaclyn Davis; sister, Sandy Casey (Pat); former sister-in-law, Suzie Davis Ramsey (Chuck); nephews, Doug (Lindsey) & Mike Davis, and Dylan Carroll, all of the local area. Jim is also survived by nieces, Abby & Lily, and nephew, Patrick Davis. Jim moved to Enon in 1999, where he was assistant coach for the local little league baseball organization, and where some of his fondest memories and deepest friendships were formed, mainly that with his best friend, Mike Belcher. Jim was a professional painter by trade a paint and stain extraordinaire. He did everything he put his hands to with excellence and personal care. With his trademark wink and sharp wit, "Jimbob" was the funniest man on the planet, loved loud rock and roll, the NHRA, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals no matter how frustrating the season and hosted regular family gatherings at his home to watch the races and games in multiscreen, highdef and high-decibel excitement. A celebration of Jims life will be held at A House of Prayer, 282 Stelton Rd., Xenia, on Wednesday, June 22, at 6:30 pm. Pastor Mark Brooks will officiate.

News Death Notice DAVIS GOODEN, Mr. Julius "Will" Age 68 of Dayton departed June 10, 2016. A graduate of Roth H.S. Class of "66 and Mahoning Valley Vocational School. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Will loved to travel, gamble and cook. Quite the jokester he could really make you laugh and cry all at the same time. He had a way to really touch your heart. Preceded in death by parents Rev. Warner W. Jr. & Ida Mae Gooden, nephew Lee R. Hayes III. Left to cherish memories are his two children Julius and Delores Davis; mother of his children, Hattie Davis; one sister Carrie Hayes; four brothers Warner Gooden, Dwight Gooden (Faye), Daniel Gooden, Robert Gooden; brother-in-law, Lee R. Hayes Jr.; three granddaughters Tyeshia, Centra & Delores, four great grands; dear friends Earl Reid and James Green. A host of relatives and friends. News Death Notice DILTZ, Orabelle Francine 89, of Trotwood, passed away June 14, 2016. Fran was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on November 9, 1926 to the late Clarence and Hazel Shellhammer. She was a member of Sulfur Grove Methodist Church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlene Lenk, Louise Brunk, Virginia Jacobs, Genevieve Hook; and brothers, Nelson and James Shellhammer. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Diltz, Sr.; daughters, Tamara (Michael) Diltz-Andary, Teresa (Clayton) Blosser; son, Robert (Laura) Diltz, Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany (Cody) Bone, Taylor Andary, Tyler Andary; and sisters, Harriet Cornett, Betty Warnick. A gathering will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:30am at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd, Dayton, OH 45424, where a memorial service will begin at 11am.
