LANGDON Jr., Alvie*  
News Death Notice LANGDON, Jr., Mr. Alvie Age 90, of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence. Born in Carthage, Mississippi to the late Alvie Sr. and Alice Langdon. Alvie accepted Christ at an early age. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1985. Preceded in death by his wife, Verdine Langdon; brother, J. B. Langdon. The memory of Alvie will be cherished by his devoted daughter, Alice Hosey; sons, Edward (Chairty) Curry and Webster McFadden; brothers, Donald (Jan), Larry (Ernie) and Leonard Langdon, all of Detroit, MI; sisters, Jan (Allen) Smith of Jackson, MS, Carolyn (Curtis) Phillips of Detroit, MI; special uncle, Curtis (Irene) Mann; special friend, Ethel Jackson; grandson, Melvin Hosey Jr. of Dayton; granddaughter, Alonna Hosey of Murfreesboro, TN; extended grandchildren, Bonny, Anthony, Edward Jr. and Adrine; 15 great grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, May 4, 2015 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Lavon Mann officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. LEEPER, Barry E.* - Dayton  
News Death Notice LEEPER, Barry E. Age 60, passed away unexpectedly April 25, 2015. He was born February 26, 1955 in Cleveland, OH to the late, George and Betty Leeper. He is also preceded in death by sister, Linda Ness; father-in-law, Earl Keeton; and granddaughter, Addyson Ulrich. He is survived by the love of his life, Teresa; son, Adam (Zerilda) Leeper; daughter, Chrissy (Joel) Ulrich; granddaughters, Cierra, Jenna, Molly, and Mallory Ulrich, and Briana Scott; brother, Robert (Barbara) Leeper; aunt, Ruth Templeton; mother-in-law, Clara Keeton; several brother and sister in-laws; and multiple of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Barry was presently employed by Vion Corporation and previously by Hewlett Packard and Digital Equipment Corp. He also served in the Merchant Marines. Barry volunteered at the Wright State University Scuba Program for 25 years and the Newport aquarium. Besides his family, scuba diving was Barry's greatest love. Special thanks to all the instructors, students, and multitude of friends and family that made amazing memories for him. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. LEGIENZA, Alfreda L. (Frieda)* - Dayton  
News Death Notice LEGIENZA, Alfreda L. (Frieda) "Cha Cha" 8/19/1917 - 4/22/2015 Age 97, Beavercreek, OH. Born in Chicopee, MA. Moved to Enfield, CT as a child where her family opened Legienza's Bakery. Frieda loved to watch "Pa" bake his special rye bread. Later, the family bought a tobacco farm and she learned all the intricacies of growing tobacco. After high school, Frieda left Enfield for employment with the Naval Electronics Lab in San Diego. There she became the first woman supervisor of the Drafting Room and the first woman member of the Industrial Advisory Council. In 1966, she received an assignment to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a Civil Engineering Technician in the 4950th Civil Engineering Test Wing's Research and Development section. She retired from WPAFB in 1987. Cha Cha liked to ice skate, bowl, dance the polka, swim, listen to good music, and attend the theatre. She was a member of the Dayton Foreman's Club, American Institute of Design and Drafting, American Society of Professional Draftsmen, Society of American Military Engineers, and many other professional and philanthropic organizations. She also served on Wright-Patt Credit Union's Board of Directors for more than 48 years. Frieda is survived by her sister, Linda Kelliher, nieces Elaine Larson (Ken), Dianne Demers (David), and Kristine Kelliher McMullen (David), nephews Mark Kelliher (Petra), Jamie Kelliher (Barbara), and Brian Kelliher and their families, and special friends Dorothy Little, Ann Luckowski, Heidi Menke, and Terrie Miller. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Josephine (Kwapien) Legienza, brothers Edward and John, nephews John, Donald, and David, husband R.A.F. Wing Commander Thomas Pinkerton, and dear friend Houston Brock. A memorial mass will be held in Enfield, CT at the convenience of the family. News Death Notice LINDAMOOD, Lavina C. Age 100 years, of Centerville and formerly of Waynesville passed away Sun. April 26, 2015 at St. Leonard in Centerville. Lavina was born Dec. 31, 1914 to Charles and Marie Koehler in Dayton. She graduated from Julienne High School in Dayton and was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Waynesville. She was a great mother to her children and a talented artist. She greatly enjoyed china painting, drawing, and traveling with her spouse. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 2001, one son Gregg, and by the parents who raised her, Walter and Priscilla Kuntz. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Lindamood (Don Correll); son Nolan Lindamood; daughter-in-law Diane Lindamood (Rick Crandall); four grandchildren Bret (Shaey) Marvin, Brian (Christina), Jeffrey (Julie), and Eric Lindamood; seven great grandchildren Danielle, William, McKenzie, Elliana, and Gavin Lindamood, Jessica Marvin, and Austin Marvin; and cousins Kenneth (Mimi) Kuntz. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Sat. May 2 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Waynesville. Burial will be in Middle Run Cemetery. He was the owner of Pat's Bar & Restaurant & was an avid golfer & outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was a member of many organizations & his light hearted personality made him many friends throughout his life. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, George Logan & mother Daisy Davis Lindon, as well as several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two brothers, Logan "Whitey" (Jan) Lindon & William David Lindon, four daughters; Melanie (Pete) Kolodziejczyk, Daisy Stamper, Rebecca Howell-Griffith & Tracie Lindon, six grandchildren; Andrew & Tesia Kolodziejczyk, Lindsey Stamper Edwards, Chase Howell, Brooke Griffith & Justyn Yahle as well as three great grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
