News Death Notice ONEAL, Lamargie 2/26/34 - 4/14/16 Mamie Iola Lamargie Glenn O'Neal was born in Heard County, Georgia on February 16, 1934 to the union of Luther and Phalicia Glenn. She graduated from Mary Johnson High School in 1953. She was a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church for over 55 years. She was gifted with a needle and for many years has been a member of the American Sewing Guild and many different sewing groups around Dayton. Lamargie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charlie Will O'Neal, her daughter DeVonner Ingram, three sisters and five brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory two children: daughter, Maxine (Ronald) Patterson, Riverdale, Ga, son Frederick (Lillian Rozena) O'Neal, Carrollton, GA: son-in-law Corwyn Ingram, Dayton, OH: four grandchildren - Rhonda (Michael) McCoy, Dayton, Oh, Theron Patterson, Riverdale, GA: Alena and Christopher Ingram, Cincinnati, OH, Wilson O'Neal, Valdosta, Ga, Maya O'Neal, Birmingham, AL; three great - grandchildren: Breia Jefferson, Shannon McCoy, and Brandon McCoy Dayton, OH; one great-great grandson Jaxson Robinson; four sisters: Alma (Robert) Williams, Dayton, OH, Hazel Tucker, Franklin, GA, Flawszelle Byrd, Carrollton, GA, Myrice Jones, Bowdon, Ga; four brothers: Casey Jones, Dayton, Oh, Charlie Glenn, Bowdon, GA, Dorsey (Jean) Jones, Bowdon, GA, Herschel Glenn, Dayton, Ohio: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 11am at St. Luke Baptist Church. 2262 N. Gettysburg Ave, Dayton, OH. The body will lie in state from 9am until the funeral hour. Family will receive friends from 10am until beginning of service. OBERLY, Charles E.* - St. Paris  
News Death Notice OBERLY, Charles E. Age 76, of Urbana, OH passed away on April 23, 2016 at 11:20 a.m. in the Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, OH. Born on September 2, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, Charles was a son of the late Paul A. and Anna Evelyn (Morgan) Oberly. He married Beverly May Bull on June 4, 1961 and she survives. Together they raised two children, Sheryl (Jay) Lamb of Sarasota, FL and Michael Oberly of Columbus, Ohio. A brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Maryanne Oberly of Chesapeake, OH, also survive him, as well as several nieces and nephews. Charles was a 1957 graduate of Westville High School. After graduation he attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a doctorate degree in Physics. He was also a Fellow at Wright State University. Charles was employed as a physicist with the defense department at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fairborn and retired in 2002. He was currently a consultant with Universal Energy Systems in Dayton. He was a member of the Westville Knights of Pythias. Charles loved model trains and was a member of the C&O Historical Society, and the National Model Railroad Association since 1992. He also served as a board member for the Champaign County Arts Council also since 1992. Charles enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, listening to music, traveling, and model railroading. He also designed and did a lot of the building on their passive solar house. A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, OH with Reverend Glover of the Westville United Methodist Church presiding. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. News Death Notice OLIVER, Maxine Helen Heaven has a new angel! It is a sad time for our family, but we rejoice in knowing our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 25, 2016. Maxine was 88 of Beavercreek, Ohio. She was born in Harriman, Tennessee on December 12, 1927. Standing at the gates of Heaven to welcome their daughter home were her parents; mother Lettie and father Lonnie Smith. Mourning her passing are husband; James Oliver, daughters Phyllis (Hubert) Abney of Beavercreek Ohio and Lisa (Tim) Ankeney of Xenia, Ohio; son Larry (Betty) Oliver of Xenia Ohio. Grandchildren; Jon, Jeff, Trevor, Lindsay, D.J., and Corey; Great grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, and Carson Abney, Tyler, T.J., and Bailey Oliver, all mourning the loss of their Nana. Maxine was a faithful Christian knowing Jesus as her personal Savior. Her family takes comfort and trust in the Word of God that she is with her Lord. While we will miss her earthly body we are comforted in knowing we will see her again. She was a faithful member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and the family wishes to thank Pastor Carlson, Pastor Richard Schneider and Greg Earley for their Christian support. Visitation will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Kettering Ohio 45450 on Thursday, April 28, 2016. The viewing will be from 9 am to 11 am with the service following. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle Five Points Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to either Emmanuel Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association in Maxine's name. God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
