GERSTNER, Gilbert (Barney)*  
News Death Notice GERSTNER, Gilbert "Barney" Age 93, Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. Gil was born in St. Mary's, Ohio on May 12, 1923 to the late Gilbert and Stella Gerstner. Gil attended Rutgers University and was a graduate of The Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from General Motors as an engineer. Gil was a selfless man who was dedicated to his family. He was a caregiver and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, the Ohio State Buckeyes and his beloved, late cat, Thomas. Gil was loved by his family and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Max (Jackie), Jim and Mary Gerstner. Gil will be missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances Gerstner; children, Ann (Ralph) Marburger, Susan (Jim Pape) Madewell, John (Sandy) Gerstner, and Nancy (Bill) Warner; grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Erica, Katie, Andrea, Jake, Sabrina, Jason and Nicole; great grandchildren, Avery, Emmett and Charlie; brothers, John (Nicholae) Gerstner, Tom Gerstner, Bob Gerstner and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45459, Fr. Brian Phelps Celebrant. News Death Notice HILDEBRAND, Ralph E. Age 73 of Beavercreek, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Anita Hildebrand, daughters CAPT Ralita Hildebrand, USN (Lt. Col. Justice "Mike" Chambers III, USMC Ret.) and CDR Paula Hildebrand Travis, USN (LCDR Henry Travis, USN Ret.), granddaughters Grace Chambers, Helen Chambers, Elizabeth "Libby" Travis, Jane Chambers and Emma Travis, and cousins Susan (Bruce) Morrett, Linda (Eric) Greulich and Patty Pierce. Ralph graduated from Milton-Union High School and later earned his B.S. at Wright State University. He went on to teach for Fairborn City Schools where he was a science teacher at Baker Junior High School, now Fairborn Middle School, for 30 years. He coached high school girls basketball, softball, and swimming and junior high football, softball, and baseball. He himself was an outstanding athlete and was inducted into the Milton Union High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011 for his accomplishments in football. He will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Martha Keller, husband William Morris and brother Edward Keller. She is survived by her children Pam (Bob) Kosins, Peggy Burneka and David (Kathy) Morris, grandchildren Bill (Lysa) Kosins, Mike (Jenny) Kosins, Bobby (Nikki) Kosins and Matthew (Lindsay) Burneka, and 11 great-grandchildren. Lucille graduated from Stivers High School in 1938. She bowled for many years, was an avid gardener and loved to play bingo. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 6pm - 8pm. Graveside services will be held at Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, OH on Wednesday, July 6 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Tenth Life cat shelter. Special thanks to Trinity Community and Hospice of Miami Valley for taking such good care of Mom.
