Dr. A. Richard Cooper DDS

age 82, of Toledo died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1930 to Arnold L. and Edna (Guthrie) Cooper in Dayton Ohio. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton, Richard earned his Doctor of Dentistry degree from the Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea before returning to a private practice in Cincinnati. Additionally, Richard practiced dentistry for Federated Electric Company and Guam Memorial Hospital before teaching as a professor for the University of the Philippines for three years. He married Fe Palileo on March 1, 1962 and moved to Toledo to open a practice, retiring at age 51. Richard is survived by his loving wife Fe Palileo-Cooper, daughter, Geraldine Cooper-Murray, son, Anthony Cooper, brother, Thomas Cooper, of Dayton OH along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may visit Friday, October 19, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass begins at noon in Christ the King Catholic Church, Toledo.
