Arthur (Jack) CONOVER

News Death Notice

CONOVER, Arthur "Jack" age 80, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Richard E. and Margaret M. "Fritzie" Kirk Conover. Jake was a Circus Equipment Manufacturer for over 60 years. He was a member of the Dayton Ave. Baptist Church. He held several positions in the Boy Scout's of America, including Scout Master of troop 69 and Vigil honor in the Order of the Arrow. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Fox) Conover; sons: Donald W. Conover of Beavercreek; Carl E. (Annette) Conover of Xenia; and Paul A. (Sue) Conover of Liberty Twp. Ohio; sister: Loretta "Sally" (John) Weitlauf of Dayton; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jake was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Albert "Bunk" Conover. The family would like to thank Senior Helper's and Hospice of Miami Valley for making the last 2 months comfortable and a better quality of life. Services to celebrate his life and accomplishments are pending for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you attend the circus and think of Jake.
