News Death Notice

CRAMER, Bernard J. "Ben" born April 6, 1932 died Dec. 1, 2013 passed away at home Sunday evening after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by parents Bernard and Amelia (Pyles) Cramer, sister-in-law Vivian Hohl & brother-in-law Jim Croft. Ben taught 41 years, 34 at Beavercreek H.S. He was a 50 yr member of Incarnation Church and choir in Centerville. He was proud to be a guide at Dayton History at Carillon Park. He belonged to the Yirra Club of Dayton, the Safari Club, and was a Gem City Chorus "Gent". Ben was a private pilot (Mound Flying club) an avid reader and a hole in one golfer. He traveled extensively with Marilyn and his family. He especially loved the Palm Springs area. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10215 and Assembly 3056. Survived by loving wife of 46 yrs Marilyn, daughter Christine of Centerville Ohio, son Kevin (Angela) Cramer of Van Wert Ohio, sister Patricia Croft of Beavercreek, brother Bob (Joyce) Cramer of Englewood Ohio. Ben's extended family includes the Walker family, numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Miami Valley for their kindness and care of Ben. Gift in Ben's Memory may be given to the WoundedWarriorProject.org Family will receive friends Thursday December 5, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday December 6, 2013 at The Church of the Incarnation with Burial to follow at Centerville Cemetery.
