News Death Notice

HOWELLS, Beulah (Ballard) age 86 of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born March 17, 1927 at North Middletown, Kentucky in Bourbon County to the late Albert and Rosa (Baxter) Ballard. She formerly worked at Leland Electric and retired from A.O. Smith Company in Tipp City. She was a long time member of Northridge Free Will Baptist Church. Beulah was an excellent cook, baker and cake decorator. She has begun her journey to a new life and a new place. All life's questions have been answered and she is at peace, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 35 years: David K. Howells, sons: Robert King of New Lebanon, Jerry (Sherri) King of Clayton, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister: Ruby Tufano of Jeffersonville, KY, brother: Lloyd Ballard of Means, KY, and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Strother King, daughter: Rohima Jean Mayberry, sister: Myrtle Fergerson, brothers: Roscoe, Johnie, Walter, Floyd, Claude and Cecil Ballard. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Cypress Pointe Health Campus staff and Hospice of Dayton for the wonderful care given to Beulah. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
