TURNER, Ms. Carman Michelle age 56, born January 6, 1956 in Dayton, was called to rest October 3, 2012. A graduate of Patterson High School (1974), and Central State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She served at the Veteran's Administration as a Social Work Specialist. Carman contributed 20 years of her life with passionate service to the PTSD veterans at the Dayton VA, where she received an honorary Master's Degree in Social Work in 2012 for her hard work, dedication and service. Preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Nooks; father, Winifred "Teddy" Wells; sisters, Karen R. Harris, Kim Johnson, Ranee Wells; brothers, Alvin Nooks and Winifred Wells Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Keneifa M. Turner; son, Jazmen D. Turner; grandson, Justin Davis; sisters, Sherri Danelak, Michelle Daniels, Pamela McElrath, Audrey Wells; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation 4 to 8 pm Monday, October 8, 2012 at Ethan Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4000 Shiloh Springs Road. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the church. Dr. Joseph Grider officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
